An iPhone and iPad app for dirt work and GPS grading. Open a site or grade plan, or a whole Topcon or Trimble machine-control job, and see where you are standing on it, live, with design grade and a built-in level.
Two ways to get it
For yourself. Download FieldGrade free from the App Store and use everything for 7 days. After that, a one-time $19.99 unlock keeps it for good. No subscription and nothing billed automatically.
For your crew. A company plan puts FieldGrade on every phone and iPad in your crew, adds crew sharing and an office dashboard, and is invoiced to your company. From $12 per device per month. See company plans.
What it does
- Open Topcon jobs (.tp3, or .ln3 linework and .tn3 surfaces), Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D LandXML, GeoJSON, KML, DXF in latitude/longitude or NC State Plane, and photos of paper plan sheets
- Link a shared Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or iCloud folder so the office's plans stay up to date on your phone
- Live position with heading arrow and accuracy circle, with your elevation always on screen
- Tap anywhere on a design surface for its design grade, and cut or fill from where you stand
- Tap a drain, culvert, inlet, or any plan line for its length, inverts, slope, size, and material
- Heading-up mode that turns the map with you as you drive
- Level: lay the phone flat, stand it up, or mount it in the cab for side-to-side and front-to-back slope in percent and degrees, and float a level box over the map
- Drop marked points and outline areas with notes, measure distances, and navigate back to marked points
- Satellite base map or your own drone imagery, working with no signal
